Story of Jitterbugs
Our journey began in 1999, and since then we have grown and flourished into a well-established and thriving nursery serving the Scarborough community. Over the years, we’ve built a strong reputation for providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and develop with confidence. Every day, we are dedicated to offering the highest quality care and early education for children aged 0–5 years, supporting each child’s individual needs and celebrating their unique milestones. Our passionate team works in close partnership with families to ensure every child has the best possible start in life

Intent – All children to be supported to learn and grow through a caring and nurturing environment, led by passionate practitioners who are dedicated to providing the best possible start to life for every child.
Implementation – To provide all children with new experiences, partake in different activities and allow time for them to develop their strengths and weaknesses. To support children in acknowledging when they require support from highly knowledgeable early years educators who scaffold children’s next steps and learning.
Impact – For all children to be independent unique individuals who can blossom within their own identity and personality.

At Jitterbugs we thrive in our passion for supporting children to learn and grow. We have strong beliefs that all children are individual and unique and should be given every opportunity to blossom.

We strongly believe that all children should be given time to try new experiences, partake in different activities and allow time to develop their strengths and weaknesses and aid them to acknowledge when they require support.
