Jitterbugs Childcare fees & funding

At Jitterbugs, we offer two types of booking patterns: all year round (50 weeks) and term time only (38 weeks following Jitterbugs term dates). These places are charged and offered differently within Jitterbugs. As an all-year-round setting, we provide all-year-round places to all children. However, we only offer term-time-only places to children aged 3-4 years or children aged 2 whose families are receiving additional support.

When your child becomes entitled to funded childcare, there are two packages that we offer.

Package A: All-Year-Round (50 Weeks)

  • Available for all age groups.
  • Meals/snacks charged on funded sessions.
  • Flexibility and continuity all year round with meals and snacks included on extra sessions
  • Can book extras based on all year-round pricing subject to availability
  • Two weeks of waivered, funded meal/snack charges are available with four weeks’ notice for holidays but not for illness.

Package B: Term-Time Only (38 Weeks)

  • Available for 3- and 4-year-olds and 2 years whose families are receiving additional support
  • Meals/snacks charged on funded sessions.
  • No reductions for absence due to illness or holidays.
  • Extra sessions outside term time charged at a higher rate and subject to availability.

Jitterbugs sessions fees & information

Times Fees
Full day 7.45am – 5.45pm, Within these times you do not have to start and finish at these times your child can be dropped off later and collected sooner if you choose. If you utilize a complete day and 5 hours are covered by funding, you'll be charged at the half day rate.

Late pickup Charge: after your agreed time for every 15 mins

Late payment charge for fees over 14 days after the 5th of each month. If fees are still not paid after 21 days from the 5th of the month your child will not be permitted to attend, they may return once fees are paid in full

A booking fee of £75 is payable and is refunded on your child’s first invoice/s if we are saving your child’s place for more than 2 weeks prior to their start date.
Meals, snacks are not included on free funded sessions. The cost per session is £4.30 on a half a day (£3.85 for a meal and .45p for a snack) and £8.60 on a full day (£7.70 for 2 meals and .90p for 2 snacks) which includes everything apart from nappies, wipes and formula milk these must be provided by the parent and brought to nursery each day. Parents must pay for meals and snacks unless alternative arrangements are made before the child starts at Jitterbugs.
